Psychotherapy is a personal process where you gain insight, incorporate healthy change in your life, heal emotional wounds and harmful beliefs, celebrate what works in your life and learn new skills to anchor your healing as life moves on. The process can move you in many different ways. Having a trusting relationship with your therapist is something that is developed over time. This therapeutic relationship can greatly improve your confidence, trust in self, ability to hold boundaries, emotional intelligence and effective communication skills.

Psychedelic integration therapy offers people an opportunity to talk about and ground mystical, out of body and spiritual experiences that they have had through NOSCs (non-ordinary states of consciousness). Insights and their relevance to current life are looked at. Practices that help with integrating the experience are explored. This appointment is also for people that plan to have an experience and need guidance with preparation and intention setting. The intention of creating the most positive healing experience possible is front and centre. Proper preparation is in the interest of harm reduction.


Yoga

Yoga is a brilliant mind/body practice. Depending on one's intention, yoga practice can strengthen, detoxify, improve flexibility, calm and inspire clarity. A regular practice can aid in general maintenance of the body, regulate the nervous system and inspire a deeper sense of self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Viktor Frankl summed a lot up when he said, “Everything can be taken from a person but one thing: the last of the human freedoms - to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

This lies at the foundation of my work - I help my clients to realize and live with perspectives they choose that give them the ability to feel free on the inside. This inner freedom allows for a life lived with contentment, self-honouring and confident decision making.

My own journey through the years as a developing multi-level therapist has included training in yoga, ELDOA, Gestalt, Enneagram, Ayahuasca, transpersonal /spiritual psychotherapy, IFS, ACT, CBT and meditation to name a few.

What has shaped my journey as a human includes being a first generation Canadian, a female entrepreneur, a single parent and devotion to alternative health care and the plant medicine path.

I love gardening, bird watching, reading, playing music, hiking with my dog, cooking, painting and spending time with the people I love.
